At the Canadian Fuels Association (CFA), we are fortunate to work with many subject matter experts, and witness first-hand the level of dedication and commitment that they demonstrate while contributing to the transportation fuels industry.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the Canadian Fuels Association over several years. Their longstanding effort has resulted in key outcomes for the sector.
As the CFA team reviewed the criteria for this award there were several individuals that fit this description perfectly; many of whom not only helped progress the interests of their companies, but the sector as a whole.
Known as the “Jacques of all trades” for CFA, our first Lifetime Achievement Award winner began working with the Association in 2006 – when CFA was still known as Canadian Petroleum Products Institute (CPPI). In addition to his own thoughtful and strategic contributions, Jacques Bellavance brought with him a keen interest in collaboration and learning from others – as demonstrated through his time spent with various CFA committees, including the Public and Government Affairs Committee, Industry Issues Committee, National Environment Committee and National Fuels Committee.
Following his retirement from Shell Canada in 2014, Jacques worked on contract at CFA and continued his support on key files, including guidance on climate change files.
We are proud to recognize Jacques for his hard work, dedication, and many contributions to the Canadian fuels sector with a CFA Lifetime Achievement Award.
