The Canadian Fuels Association and its members are deeply concerned by the impact of the floods on communities across southwestern British Columbia. We are exploring all options to source alternative gasoline and diesel supplies during this unprecedented disruption to rail, highway and pipeline infrastructure.
We support government efforts to temporarily ration fuel and we will continue to collaborate with the provincial emergency management team to ensure that a steady supply of fuels is available for responders and essential service providers.
“First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with those that have been affected by the flooding,” said Bob Larocque, President and CEO of the Canadian Fuels Association. “We know that this is a difficult time for everyone involved and we ask that respect is shown to fuel retailers who are working to implement the rationing order. These temporary measures will ultimately support the return of supply chains to normal levels of reliability.”
