The Shell Canada Fuelling Kindness initiative was inspired by Shell Canada employees to give back to the communities where they live and work. Spreading kindness has become part of who employees are at Shell and volunteering is a core part of what they do.
The Shell community engages in acts of kindness of all sizes from surprising workers at a non-profit organization with tokens of appreciation to writing inspirational messages on school sidewalks.
Through the Fuelling Kindness Grant program, the regular volunteer efforts of employees, retirees and retailers/agents are recognized and rewarded by grants to support not-for-profit organizations where Shell people volunteer their time.
Shell believes that kindness is within us all. Small acts can have big impacts on our health, relationships and society. What was started by a group of employees who wanted to give back to their community is now spreading to include Shell customers, partners, and Canadians from all walks of life.
